En weer nieuws van de kant van coda: Thank you for entering the Fall 2008 CodaBow DIAMOND Giveaway. CodaBow International is delighted to announce this year's winners. On behalf of all participants, we congratulate both winners. May their new CodaBows bring them a lifetime of playing pleasure. GRAND PRIZE WINNER! Janet Peterson, Bellingham, Washington "I am still in a bit of a state of wonder that in fact, it is true", says our Grand Prize Winner, Janet Peterson of Bellingham, Washington. As the Grand Prize Winner, Ms. Peterson received a CodaBow Diamond GX cello bow for herself and a CodaBow Diamond NX cello bow to donate to Bellingham High School in Bellingham, Washington. Janet took up the cello at age eight and continued playing in school orchestras from age 10 to 18. Janet says that a very wise music teacher showed her that the cello was capable of making the kind of music she couild relate to - Bach, Popper and the music of Verdi. Janet sings, writes songs and plays guitar and cello in the four women band, Motherlode, located in Washington state. She also does studio recordings for people who wish to add that bittersweet voice of the 'cello to their own music. SECOND PRIZE WINNER! Alex Vogler of Harrisonburg, Virginia. As the Second Prize Winner, Mr. Vogler received a CodaBow DIAMOND SX for violin and a CodaBow Diamond NX cello bow to donate to Oscar Smith High School of Chesapeake, Virginia. Alex is a junior music education major at James Madison University. He began playing double bass in sixth grade and has not been able to put it down. He also plays the violin. Alex says that if there is one person who influenced him to be a musician for life, it was his high school orchestra director, Deanna Kringel, of Oscar Smith High School. Alex says "she showed me what a great music teacher can do and she made me love music more than I ever had before". Alex plans to go to graduate school after JMU to pursue a masters in music performance. We zijn in iedergeval weer op de hoogte Remi
Sounds like an intern job.
